Event Highlights

- Mini Canvas Painting: Unleash your inner artist with our guided mini canvas painting sessions. All materials will be provided.

- Mini DIY Perfume Making: Create your own signature scent in our fun and interactive perfume-making workshop.

- Mini Candle Making: Craft a custom candle to take home, choosing from a variety of scents and colors.

Artist Contest

Calling all local Tampa Bay painters! In celebration of the DIY Room’s Grand Opening, we are thrilled to announce our upcoming artist contest. This is an exciting opportunity to showcase your artistic talents and compete for a grand prize of $250. Whether you're a seasoned artist or just starting out, we invite you to participate and share your creativity with a wider audience.

Submission Requirements

1. Eligibility:

- Open to all artists aged 18 and above in Tampa Bay.

- Both amateur and professional artists are welcome.

2. Artwork Specifications:

- Each artist may submit 1 original painting.

- Acceptable mediums include oil, acrylic, watercolor, and mixed media.

- Digital paintings are not accepted.

- The maximum size for each painting is 48 inches in any dimension.

3. Submission Process:

- Submit high-resolution photographs of the painting.

- Include a brief description of the artwork (up to 250 words) to include the medium, dimensions, and inspiration.

- Complete the online entry form with a brief bio of the artist (up to 250 words).

4. Submission Deadline:

- All entries must be submitted by August 23, 2024.

Judging Criteria

Our panel of judges will evaluate the submissions based on the following criteria:

- Creativity and originality

- Technical skill and execution

- Composition and design

- Overall impact and emotional resonance

Grand Prize

The grand prize winner will receive $250 and a feature in our online gallery and social media platforms. Additionally, the winning artwork will have the opportunity to be showcased in our DIY Room. The winner will be announced at the DIY Room’s Grand Opening event.
